Those with the least often give the most
I’m in awe of how people who materially have so little can be so generous.
This concept shaped my thesis, exploring the question “Poverty Porn & Psychic Numbing – Are Third World Children Exploited in Charity Advertising Campaigns.” Since the age of 16, I’ve spent my summers volunteering and teaching special needs children in India, Ghana, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Uganda, which inspired my book project ‘Hi Muzungu’. In 2022 I volunteered my skills as a designer to a social enterprise in Malawi, in 2023 an educational non-profit in Colombia and in 2025 a nature reserve in Tobago.
